Five launches +1 services

Five has become the latest broadcaster to announce the launch of time shifted services, for its digital channels Five Life and Five US.

Five Life + 1 and Five US + 1 will launch on satellite this autumn. Since the digital channels launched in October 2006, they have attracted more than 25 million viewers. Five US shows American television including films, the CSI franchise and the popular comedy House.

Five Life offers a mix of acquired and originated drama, entertainment and factual programming. The move follows Channel 4's confirmation that it is to launch Channel 4+1 on Freeview on August 20.
