ITV has signed a deal with Premier Rugby and Guinness to broadcast a new weekly Guinness Premiership rugby highlights show.
The hour-long Guinness Premiership highlights will air on ITV4 at 6.30pm on Sundays, covering all 22 rounds of the new season, the Guinness Premiership semi-final and final. The show will be repeated on ITV1 on Tuesday nights.
Lee Bailey, sponsorship manager for Guinness, said: "The popularity of the Guinness Premiership is on the increase and we are delighted that we have been able to work with ITV to ensure fans can get a timely, weekly highlights fix of all of the weekend's action."
The new 2008/2009 season of the Guinness Premiership launches on 6 September, with Sky Sports broadcasting live matches from 7 September. Sky's promotional trailers, with a "Big Scrum" theme, start today and are scheduled to run across all Sky Sports channels until the first live match airs.
