5.9 Million See Ex-Apprentice Katie Leave The Jungle


As ex-Apprentice contestant, Katie Hopkins, became the second ‘celeb’ to exit the jungle in I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, more than 5.9 million adults on average tuned in to ITV1.

The results show gave the channel a 30.2% viewing share between 10pm and 10.30pm, whilst the main programme attracted over 5.8 million, or a 27.8% share between 8pm and 9pm.

Waterloo Road over on BBC One managed a 22.2% share with almost 4.7 million adult viewers, whilst Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall’s River Cottage: Gone Fishing lured almost 2.5 million (11.8%) to Channel 4.

In the 9pm to 10pm timeslot last night, Jimmy McGovern’s fantastically crafted series, The Street, was the most watched programme, gaining an average adult audience of just over 4.1 million.

This gave BBC One a 19.8% audience share, compared to the 17.7% share (almost 3.7 million) for ITV1’s new real estate drama, Sold.
