Stevens, who was most recently programming and acquisitions manager for Living and Living 2, will be responsible for acquiring US and UK shows across linear, DTO and digital media. Stevens replaces Sarah Baines, who recently quit to take a year out of the industry to go travelling.

At VMTV Stevens acquired So You Think You Can Dance?, Campus Ladies and Army Wives. She also brought Janice Dickinson's Modelling Agency, which led to VMTV investing further in resulting shows such as Abbey and Janice: Beauty and the Best.

Before Living, Stevens worked in acquisitions for VMTV stablemates Bravo and Trouble, where she bought Ultimate Fighting Championship and reality spin-off The Ultimate Fighter.

She starts her new role on 2 June, reporting to Paramount Comedy vice-president of programming and planning Matt Tombs.
